{"id":1198,"date":"2020-04-05T18:49:58","date_gmt":"2020-04-05T09:49:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/suzuki-global.com\/?p=1198"},"modified":"2021-06-19T20:49:48","modified_gmt":"2021-06-19T11:49:48","slug":"foreign-expatriates-professionals-and-employees-requesting-entry-into-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suzuki-global.com\/en\/foreign-expatriates-professionals-and-employees-requesting-entry-into-vietnam\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign expatriates, specialists, employees requesting entry into Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the coronavirus, Vietnam strictly controls travel restrictions for foreigners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Vietnam, travel restrictions were enforced as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus while skilled foreign experts, employees, and expatriates were temporarily returning to their home countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, many of the foreigners who have returned to Japan temporarily are unable to enter Vietnam, and this time, due to the importance of each project, a request was made to obtain a travel permit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foreign expatriates, specialists, employees requesting entry into Vietnam<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 8,500 foreigners requesting entry into Vietnam, of which 2,000 are involved in major national projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Labor, Labor, Illness and Social Affairs has proposed to the Prime Minister to allow 8,459 foreigners to enter Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are granted entry, you will be placed in a facility under government supervision for 14 days after entry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Out of a total of 8,459 foreign professionals, 2,000 are involved in the following projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cat Linh-Hadong Metro Line\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vinh Tan 1 thermal power plant<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LG Display project in Haiphong city<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Samsung Display Vietnam Bac Ninh province<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Texhong Co., Ltd.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Electro-Mechanics Vietnam Co., Ltd.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foreign personnel who cannot enter Vietnam<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Labor, Illness and Social Welfare had a total of 94,000 foreign employees in Vietnam obtaining entry permits before the problem of the new coronavirus occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, 68,521 people are living in Vietnam, of which 15,310 (22.4%) are Chinese and 23,581 (34.4%) are Korean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 25,479 employees who have not yet returned to Vietnam due to the new coronavirus since returning to their hometown for the Chinese New Year, of which 19,113 are Chinese (75%) and 3,766 are Korean (14.8 %).
