Vietnam's foreign direct investment (FDI) surges from Singapore
According to the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment, in the first 20 days of 2020, Vietnam gained US$5.3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), up 179.5% year-on-year. It came in the form of additional FDI, capital contributions and share purchases by FDI's foreign investors.
Singapore was Vietnam's largest foreign investor in the same month, with more than $4.05 billion, accounting for 90.9% of total FDI.
